The Tiger on the far left doesn’t want anything to do with hours-long legal BS uttered by blockheads.
She looks like a crabby fussbudget, doesn’t she?
She went to the ‘wrong’ justice pit!? Just how many people are they burying alive on a regular basis? To me, that has to be the most terrifying way to die.
I can dig it!
Le GASP, Kilani gets to see light for how much longer?!
Let’s hope Tam’syn buys Kilani some time!
Tam’syn Talks!
Kilani’s culpable confession concedes the case as closed. But wait! The Princess makes her presence palpable before the pit is put away. Kiriad questions the judge about her seeming venerated verdict and reminds Scyde of her love of the law. Scyde refuses to cede and cites Kilani’s plea as proof. But hold on, your honor. You’ve omitted the opportunity for the audience to raise any objections. And look a hand is raised! What does tigress Tam’syn need to tell?
The case isn’t complete.
Let’s hope Princess Kiriad hears the kid out!
Scyde’s been reminding me a lot of Ultra Magnus lately, and I keep thinking of this line from season 3: “I’ve never seen anything this beautiful in the entire galaxy. All right, give me the bomb.”
Good lord, Scyde. And go, Tam’syn!
Tam’syn’s showing a lot of spine!
Scyde, in your rush to judgment, you should consider how you would feel if you ever got in a bind, and someone wants you buried right now.
I’m sure there are more than a few people who’d love to see Scyde in that pit.
Beginning to wonder, if Scyde does indeed traditionally “love rules” as Kiriad points out, if there is a more personal vendetta against Kilani we don’t know about that Scyde would bypass the rule of objections in this particular trial.
Well, Kilani did steal Scyde’s thunder, in more ways than one, the previous night. No one likes to be upstaged!
I see now. Ideas are like wildfire, and Kilani was the first spark. That last image of the whole group witnessing Kilani diffusing the situation a couple pages ago has more meaning now, with some of the girls having smiles instead of just plain awe.
You noticed! Yaaaay! \^o^/
Scyde’s like “But moooom, I wanna fill in the pit NOW!” XD Good luck Tam’syn!
Scyde’s actually weirdly cute when she pouts. ^__^;
Seeing Scyde and princess Kiriad here feels like the grudge battle between military vs political castes – which they literally are – but that tiger justice system is based on “being biggest here” REALLY makes it feel like Kiriad’s grip on power is subject to Scyde’s whim. Military coup at any time, such as when you try to use the big cat’s rules against her! It really reinforces a less savory element to Tiger culture that kinda gets glossed over because they’re cute and pretty.
You described it perfectly! White Tigers, however, automatically outrank even the biggest of orange Tigers, so even Scyde might have to bend the knee here.
Do white tigers have rank only due to rarity, or is there superstition involved? Basically how much ‘protection’ does Kiriad’s color give her, because it looks like Scyde could just break her or make her disappear otherwise. And might actively be thinking about it right now, having her authority upstaged like this.
I like to think of it as being both. White Tigers are rare and are automatically considered royalty. In the absence of a white Tiger, however, the biggest, strongest one around calls the shots and there aren’t many bigger than Scyde.
Love the lucey tige from it,s a mystery charlie brown
“It’s the Justice Pit for You, Charlie Brown!”
Impressive how she’s all about the rules until it gets in her way.
“Rules for thee but not for me.”
That does seem to be a running theme with the Tigers, Dragons and our dimension hoppers.
They say the real measure of someone is to see how they handle power. Many in positions of authority choose to maximize the benefit to themselves, which very much leads to a “Rules for thee but not for me” result – they do it because they can.
The fact we see this reflected in the Tigers, Dragons, and ‘researchers’ (whatever Shaleigh is) just means that it’s a realistic way for the ‘power figures’ in each group to act with the advantages they have!
Does shaleigh Like seeing the dragons and tigers fighting I pray that she cares one day Hopefully I want oscura want to have regret of what she did in the past all the victims she has hurted well I will pray for her to change a new wing leaf
