Howdy, fellow Draconiacs!  RazorFox here.

Did we just get a confession out of Kighan?  Stay tuned…

And, as a bonus, you get a special guest appearance by Mizu and Fiera, two of the regular stars of the Draconia Chronicles holiday specials [link].  It’s been years since either one appeared in the main story [link].  I figured they’d be perfect for a cameo.

Overall, I’m quite pleased with this page.  While the overall gist of the dialogue remained the same throughout, the actual words went through numerous revisions.  Crafting the dialogue is my favorite part of writing this comic, which is why, since I inherited the writing duties, the comic has become substantially more wordy.  I don’t consider that to be a bad thing, though, and I certainly dig the final result.  I hope you do, too.

Those of you looking for a soundtrack to this page can pull up “Fire Woman” by The Cult, especially for the lyric, “Fire woman, you’re to blame.”

Me pregunto que habrán hecho en realidad el grupo de Electra para haber sido desterrados. Como duda ¿Fueron todos los dragones de trueno desterrados o solo el grupo de Electra? Eso nunca me quedo muy claro.

También e notado que ya no dibujas las lineas internas de las alas (la linea que corresponde con los huesos)

Y me alegra anunciarte que ya decidí quieres aparecerán como invitadas en mi comic n_n. Pero no sera hasta el 30 de Junio (si es que nada modifica mis planes) Su apariencia tendrá una ligera modificación pero definitivamente serán reconocibles c:

Con los huesos de las alas, me he vuelto un poco perezoso con ellos. Si no es necessario o no los vemos en detalle–como cuando el diálogo los cubre–no los dibujo.

Y me alegra oir que hayas decidido quien usar. Dame un link cuando lo publicas. Queiro verlo! ^__^

Es una sorpresa que “refrescar” es una palabra correcta cuando es el primera cosa que se me occurrieron solamente. Tambien, estoy usando una diccionario para las traducciones ahora– estoy pensando, “‘Estoy usando,’ no? O es ‘es usando’… no lo creo, pero… Y como se dice ‘came to me’ en español? (Es occurrieron, aparentemente.) Y que es esa palabra que significa ‘to think’ y tiene una pe en el lugar primer (paracer)… Y donde esta la adjectivo?… Y es preterito o imperfecto?” …ET.

Me salio, hablo mucho pero nada importa. >.< Es divertido a traer hablando espanol. (Practicando esta buen para que no olividarme. Y estoy buscando un poco solamente… si once o doce palabras, probablemente, es un poco.) 🙂 Aunque es muy malo probablemente.

I’m gonna guess being a Water Dragon leads to some excellent fishing opportunities.

Yeah…hindsight is always 20/20.

Glad you like their cameos! I wanted an establishing shot and decided to have something actually happening in it. Blue’s kids selling their catch seemed like a good fit. And as for hindsight, yeah, Kighan might have some “boss’ remorse” going on here. We’ll see how she handles it…

“CODS BE PRAISED!” Gotta love that line! Anyways, starting to doubt my earlier theory of the electric dragons being the old “friends”. Honestly, they were just talking about one of them, and barely even mentioned it. So now…..I have no clue.

You know, the page looks a bit interesting when all of it is in the sky. A lot of people I know tried this, and ended up putting them in almost the same position in every panel.

Wait…..theory coming up on the “friends”. Have any water dragons appeared in this comic yet? Other than Mizu?

Blue made an appearance in the latter parts of the volcano saga, but otherwise, she hasn’t done much else. She’s part of some longer-term plans of mine, though. As for the visuals on this page, why would I keep them in the same shot over and over and over again? They’re free to move in any which direction up in the sky. It’d be a waste not to take advantage of it, so I got jiggy with the poses and angles. Glad you like it! ^__^

Yeah, taking down a peg Elektra and gang is one thing. But using others like that to help or take the fall with them. I’m getting the impression that lightning dragons weren’t the only ones with questionable behavior here.

I’m RRREALLY worried about Lumina and Kilani right now- scratch that, worried for months!) it’s for the good of all of us because we DO keep coming back so we can read the comic, find out what events unfold, see our favorite characters in action, and chat. That’s why we have to stay strong, have patience, and hope. (E-_-)m

Well, Red -did- say that “no” wouldn’t be an acceptable answer. I don’t expect Eone would have changed her opinion on needless conflicts in the last few days (even though that strip was from 2 years ago). Eone would probably see it as forced servitude for a queen she doesn’t respect for legitimate reasons- bad enough that they don’t have much more reason to continue the conflict, but the Queen seems like she’s racist enough that she’ll segregate her own race anytime one of them slips up.

Either way, I doubt that Eone’s “knowledge” on matters concerning the Queen is going to prevent them from being “conscripted” in service.

Wow, thanks! The comic updates every Monday. Pretty easy to remember, I hope. ^__^

‘Course! I follow like 40 comics! Of course it’s easy!

You know, this might actually be pretty high up on my list. *Great* art quality, nice concept, nice plot. I have only one critique at the moment. When you do action scenes, sometimes the sequence of events can be pretty hard to follow visually. I always had a fair idea of what was going on, but scenes like the fight around the execution of that one Earth dragon who snuck seed from the male dragon (bah, forgot her name) seem more of a confused melee than anything. Although, the scene where the 7 tigers were chasing the light dragon was much better. Umm… maybe more area shots? Landmarks/points of reference? I have no idea. I don’t actually have much experience drawing, myself. ( ._.) You do draw great, though. Got any tutorials?

I’m stunned! Thanks again for the kind words! In regards to the action scenes, they’re a challenge to script, especially when you have about five or six pairs of combatants and you have to check in with each one. Though I was working with a writer at the time of the first fight scene you’re referencing, I learned a lot from that experience, and when I inherited the writing duties (at the same time the comic went to color), I eventually decided that I wanted to embark on another action chapter and apply the lessons learned. From your assessment, it appears to have worked. Thanks for joining the flock, my fellow Draconiac, and be sure to spread the word about what you found here! ^__^

yep thats maya.. i can only guess that she going to walk over to the light and see kimi and neokonny looking at kimi as she transforms back into neko kimi

The light!!! They’re using the light!!!
*smacks forehead* Of course! There were two elements, the bell was only one part of a set. They used the light to turn Kimi neko and the bell turned Nekonny into a neko. When the battle turned for the worse, Kimi merged the two into one, and when the battle was over and she turned back into a cat, the bell and the light must have split apart again. Now that the bell is gone all that remains is the light, but because it is no longer needed it is being used to right a wrong: Kimi’s death.

ok the short version is Kimi is being brought back to life in her original body while Maya just happens to see the flash of light a few yards away from her (end of explaination)

Nah, convert all the remaining energy into a micro-nuclear device, the blinding light is it going off, the next comic will be the shroom cloud over the island. Kimi and Nekonn will finally be together… in death! *cackles*

All we are doing is assuming what will happen, we can’t really know ’till they give us next page, tho most of the assumptions are cool to read… But what if, instead of bringing Kimi back, they are going to go back in time just in order to not let all of this happen? Hmmmm? 😛

I thought I’d ask now, as opposed to when the chapter is obviously coming so as to avoid the problem of wondering if the question/message got through.

Yes, if it would avoid the cliche “love revives dead person” ending yes. I thought we were going to have one of those bitter sweet endings that show you that not everything turns up roses… It looks like we’re getting generic ending #5. It will become pointless to have killed her off in the first place. “It’s okay we’ll bring her back to life cause you love her. No harm no foul.” I thought that Nekonny was going to be bold here.

No, the cop out ending would have been Maya come in at the last second sacrifice herself and Kimi and Nekonny live happily ever after in Nekocat forms. Alive…dead… it doesn’t matter, won’t please everyone. So if you feel sighing and hitting your head will make you feel better with any decision please… continue. :3

No, that would be cliche. This is a copout. You had her killed off only to go “Oh, but it’s okay, she can be brought back, so all the drama was totally worthless in the long run!”

hay we’ve been given false leads all though this comic. so save the judging tell we see THE END please.
