Howdy, fellow Draconiacs!  RazorFox here.

Will Her Majesty Queen Oscura get her hands on “the monster?”  Time will tell…

Those of you looking for a soundtrack for this page can pull “Down By The Water” by PJ Harvey.

Sorry for the slight lateness on this page, though I should point out that it IS still Monday here in the eastern United States, so it’s still on time.  I got back late last night after appearing as a guest at Anime USA, where I met such cool folks as Emma, Ken, Mike, and Adam, along with Thom and Kambrea, the creative duo behind Shadowbinders.  

I also want to thank all of you who came out to see me at my panel about writing for serialized webcomics.  I was actually unaware that I would be the lone speaker at that panel, but I hope my 90 minutes of rambling about the creative process made some sort of sense, and that I was able to successfully impart the wisdom I’ve picked up after doing the writing for The Draconia Chronicles for the past 2 years, especially about character development and how to keep your audience in mind when pacing your story.  The whole thing was extemporaneous, I assure you, but you all were a great audience and considering that the vast majority of you stuck through the whole thing, I like to think I must’ve been doing something right.  ^__^

And, most of all, I want to thank the staff at Anime USA for inviting me back as a guest!  You all took wonderful care of me, and the trip was a ton of fun!  Just say the word, and I’ll work it into my schedule for 2013.

And speaking of 2013, work is commencing on the 2013 Draconia Chronicles Calendar.  Playing in with the number “13,” this year’s theme is tarot cards, and yes, it will feature both Dragons AND Tigers.  Now that my convention year is over and I’ve given the convention faithful a shot to pre-order, I will soon open the doors to you, my web audience!  By next week, I hope to have the order forms up and ready for you to place your orders online, along with a couple preliminary sample images to show off.  Stay tuned…

LOL! Thanks! I’ve been talking over a possible Kickstarter campaign with my Katbox colleague Nekonny, and it might be feasible. Keep your eyes peeled in 2013. And as for your nickname, I’d just never seen your name, which under any other circumstances would be spelled “Travis,” spelled the way you had it, as “Travus.” Sounded all Latin, so I ran with that. Oh, Boo-F***ing-Hoo, Queeny. You didn’t feel for Gaia when she tried to have an egg. What did you do…? Oh yeah, you kept her at your feet for, what I assume to be, years- both physically and verbally abusing her, And then what do you do? You had her banished right in the middle of tiger country! No, your right to cry and grieve is NILL!! If I had any say in that world, I’d undo the wards you placed on the princess, If only because a) It’d bring immeasurable joy to a certain tigress’s heart, and a well deserved dagger into yours.

I agree. she may not be evil, but she has some serious issues. you don’t do that to your child because you’re so obsessed with dictator-like ruling and so on. she is not fit to be a mother. a good and selfless person may show her mercy, but by being merciless herself, she cannot expect to be showed any. she mess up her daughter’s mind not for the sake of the daughter, but for the sake of her unquestioned rule. it is obvious that in some future, wether it will ever be showe din the timeline the comic use, our dear princess will soone ror later overthrow he rmentally-unstable mother.

This page is really cool, but bring me some questions. Because on the first panel Queen Oscura look messy and tired, Sombrana is holding her and the red one (Shaddig I thinks is the name?) It look clearly look like an after birth scene, but this make me think, didnt Gaia stole and egg from a place dragon are allowed to get a child? then how exaclty does dragon birth works?

Her name is indeed Schaddig. Lady Schaddig, to be precise. Laying an egg is similar to the birthing process, but the egg is unfertilized at this point. Gaia tracked down her own egg and fertilized it herself through illicit means.

Miss a C… close enough… Anyway nice to know that they keep a record about the eggs. Must admit that it come to my head the idea of dragon laying egg and then fertilized them and giving them to random mothers…. That freak me out >___> …. for that I asked XD

Heh sounds like we see a second side of the story, though I am still more with Kilani on this. She is only pushing the war and even though that was her first child, for it to be clear she was quite the ‘monster’ first. Though in a war neither side is really clean of blame.

I love it when you can look at a flashback panel and feel like you’re looking at a family photo album: “Awww look at Chiara when she was younger… and there’s Sombrana! I wonder what she’s up to?” XD

Ok old queeny need to reexamine somethings like oh i dont know maybe Kilanni didnt know that it was her child. Also Kilanni couldnt just walk up to the dragon city gate and be like “is this your egg?” without being turn into a fur rug,also what about Gaia and her child. Plus Oscura is trying tp raise chuki to be the ultimate weapon. Kalanni raised her to be a normal child. Hopefully 1 of 2 things will happen 1. Oscura or CHiria start having doubts about the nature of chuki abduction and capture Kalanni to find out the truth or 2. Duringthe process something doesnt work out and Chuki fights back and regains her memories and chuki(full of rightous anger) calls out Oscura on her so called “clensing” and flys away.

Well…kind of wrong to label the queen as a monster whenever this is all about those lost years.

At this point in time, I’m still not entirely sure which side I think should prevail or halt the conflict. Maybe your gonna have a few individuals on both sides who help bring about peace, I don’t know. However, Queen Oscura is making me lean in slight favor of the tigers.
I mean, she doesn’t want her daughter to be a bringer of peace, the Queen wants her to utterly destroy the tigers. And, there’s the fact that she brainwashed said daughter twice. Twice. She’s going for a third time.

Also, I have a massive amount of doubt that this will work. After three brainwashes in a short time span, you’d expect some resistance occurring. But really I just wanna see Oscura’s shit get fucked up.

Thanks for the shout out! You did a great job with the writing panel. I loved how you got everyone so involved and how they were helping each other! Very cool!

Thanks! I had virtually nothing prepared as I didn’t know I’d be carrying it by myself, so it amounted to me speaking extemporaneously for the better part of 90 minutes. You and your Wonder-Woman friend (whose name I never got) helped quite a bit, though, and I’ve learned from public speaking courses that the audience can always be used for Q&A to help kill time and generate new themes on which to speak. Glad I had my deodorant on, ‘cuz I was pretty nervous. ^__^;;

You know, it’s funny… the first thing I that propped to mind has already been said… so I guess I’m not alone in how I feel NOTHING for the Queen’s situation. So I’ll simply say one word: “Gaia”.
